Direct-to-consumer sales have taken over a major chunk of the sneaker industry, but brands are still doing their best to incorporate retailers into the mix, be it boutique collaborations or exclusive colorway runs for bigger chain stores. At New Balance, the latest shop-exclusive is a classic white, silver, and red mesh 740 runner that you can only cop at DTLR.
The New Balance 740 DTLR Exclusive covers the base of the upper in crisp white mesh and adds structure to the toe, side panels and heel with synthetic strips covered in shiny metallic silver and red gradient flashes. The side panel “N” logo brings in some black to match the black laces and outsole.

This is the second time DTLR has landed an exclusive New Balance 740 colorway, following a black and multi-color Night Moves colorway that dropped last fall. Over the years, the major retailer has also linked with the Boston-based brand for exclusive colorways of the 1000, 1906R, 990v6, and more.
The New Balance 740 Dare to Live Right (DTLR Exclusive) was released today, March 6, 2026, through DTLR in-store and online. Available in full-family sizing, the retail prices are set at $120 for adult sizes, $85 for grade school and pre-school sizes, and $75 for toddler sizes.
