Whereas the other initial offerings of the 1890 have been more colorful, like the bright yellow offering or moody like the dark green, the upcoming New Balance ABZORB 1890 Dark Silver Metallic goes for a neutral look for the tech-inspired silhouette. The sneaker starts with a white mesh base on the upper. Teardrop-shaped metallic silver overlays add structure and support while exuding a distinctly Y2K vibe.
A second shade of silver comprises the sneaker’s mesh collar lining, adding more visual depth to the standout sneaker. The silhouette shifts from the metallic look at the heel, opting for a smooth, dark grey suede. The white and silver look perfectly fit the tech-inspired runner, while hints of salmon pink are found in the ABZORB pods on the midsole. Blue New Balance branding on the heel and tongue adds just a modicum of color to break up the low-profile colorway.
