New Balance may have just introduced the adidas Adizero Evo SL killer. Yesterday, the Boston-based brand debuted its latest performance running silhouette, the Ellipse, and it’s most definitely going toe-to-toe with the hit Evo SL. The retail price is $5 lower, the thick Fresh Foam X rivals the Lightstrike Pro used by adidas, and the breathable mesh upper looks a bit more comfortable than the one The Three Stripes employs. Before the public even has a shot at copping one of the debut colorways on March 5, we already have a collab pair headed our way thanks to New Balance athlete Parker Valby.
Valby, who attended the University of Florida (go Gators), swept the NCAA circuit during her time in school. She broke multiple records, currently holding the NCAA record for outdoor 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter races, and picked up six gold medals at different NCAA championship events. While her first Olympics were a tad disappointing, as she finished eleventh in the 10,000-meter race in Paris, she signed with New Balance in 2024 and is part of Team New Balance Boston.
As for Parker’s design, she kept things simple and Gator-friendly as the new model is coated primarily in white. Blue hues stretch from the heel and form the wavy midfoot pattern, broken up by white dotted patterns, and eventually finish around the eyelets. More of this blue shade is used for the trim of the midfoot “N” logo. Valby’s signature and her own logo are found on the insole of the shoe, placed on the right and left insoles, respectively. Finishing the sneaker is the white Fresh Foam X midsole and black rubber outsole.
The Parker Valby x New Balance Ellipse will be released on March 19, 2026 through New Balance online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $145.
