New Balance refuses to remain in the past. The Boston-based brand known for its classic mix of suede and retro mesh runners has made a huge push into pro sports over the past few years, and on the lifestyle side of things, NB brought out brand new silhouettes to keep up with the times. In addition to the brand-new ABZORB 2000 and 2010, the 5030, and 1890, the archival Gator Run is the latest addition to the catalog.
The New Balance Gator Run Apollo Gold is the latest colorway of the low-top retro runner that reminds us of the Nike Astrograbber. On the Apollo Gold pair, the Gator Run starts with a coat of sunshine suede on the toebox, lace, panel, and heel, with a lighter shade of yellow added to the side panel mesh.

Hits of black are added on the side panel “N” logo, the heel tab, and the outsole for a hit of Wu-Tang style contrast, with crisp white on the tongue, laces, and sockliner. Finally, the New Balance logo on the tongue tag goes back to yellow to bring it all together.
The New Balance Gator Run Apollo Gold will be released May 13, 2026 through New Balance and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $135. For all the latest New Balance news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
