Hot on the heels of New Balance’s brand new P400 basketball shoe hitting the runway in Paris with a triple-black leather Junya Watanabe collab, the star of the Boston-based brand’s basketball refresh is back with another triple-black colorway for the inline colorway, this time in textured leather.
The New Balance P400 Black is blacked out everywhere except for the white New Balance logo on the tongue. The one-piece toebox and side panels feature a rough-textured leather, and the heel adds a bit of hairy suede to the mix. Mesh covers the ankle collar and the tongue for breathability.
Originally slated as the Fresh Foam BB 4, the P400 is the lead of New Balance’s refreshed basketball series, featuring a dual-cushioning system combining EVA Foam and a Fresh Foam X core. In addition to the Junya Watanabe preview, the inline black pair debuts alongside two more colorways, one in red and the other in blue.
