When Palace Skateboards announced a new long-term partnership with Nike after years of close-knit work with adidas, Kyle Wilson was a clear winner. While a significant portion of the skaters on Palace ride or rode for adidas, Wilson is one of the only Nike-sponsored team members on London’s most popular skate brand.
Kyle Wilson is Next Up
That pre-established connection is quickly turning Wilson into one of the main faces of Palace’s ongoing Nike collabs, and in a new Instagram post, Wilson is serving as a leaker for an upcoming pair of SB Air Max 95s. In addition to modeling and skating Palace’s Nike collabs, rumors have been swirling for a few months about Wilson getting his own SB colorway, and this Air Max preview might be the start of a signature rollout.
Focusing on a jewel mini Swoosh in yellow, the zoomed-in preview from Wilson’s Instagram post looks a little bit like Koston’s AM95 colorway in its mix of navy, silver, and yellow, but with a completely different look, even in one up-close image.
Looking like a picture right below the ankle collar, the navy panels feature more navy stitching, while the silver panel adds yellow stitching and the jewel Swoosh in the middle. Shortly after this preview, Kyle posted a skate clip that gives us a clearer look at the shoe. Most of the sneaker is done in black, with one single strip of stadium green running along the midfoot.
