For years, Deion Sanders swore that he would never rock Nike products again. Well… something changed in 2023 shortly after Coach Prime began his tenure at the University of Colorado, when he announced that his deal with Nike was back on. Fast forward two years, and we’ve been blessed with retro releases of his various signature sneakers, like the DT Max ‘96 and Diamond Turf. While we know that the Diamond Turf 2 is returning next year, Sole Retriever can report that the DT Max ‘96 will be converted into a low-top sneaker in 2026.
After Sole Retriever's initial report, images of a sample of the Air DT Max '96 Low appeared online. The low-top version retains the signature scratch design on the upper, but it's obviously cut short due to the lowered height. Other than this change in height, things remain the same, including Nike logos throughout the upper and the foam and Air-cushioned sole unit.
