Who says you can’t be fancy and fun? The loafer-inspired Nike Air Max Dolce is making a return from the archives of Oregon. COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS put their elegant monochrome spin on it in a trio of colorways, including black, white, and a two-tone black-and-white pair to usher in the return of the silhouette. Now, the Nike Air Max Dolce is getting a new Light Magenta colorway for the general audience. The 2002 sneaker proves that time is a flat circle and perfectly fits the zeitgeist in the era of dresswear sneakers and adds further credence to Nike’s experimental phase of the 2000s.
The dress shoe inspiration of the silhouette comes through immediately in the bicycle toe shape, laceless build, and wedge heel. The pink molded knit upper adds a variety of visual dynamism to the model, with the fabric texture giving it a metallic-like sheen. In lieu of laces, the model adds a matching pink carbon rubber web to the forefoot and toe.

A bubblegum pink heel counter is the only visible Swoosh on the futuristic silhouette. Hints of black on the sockliner and the glossy midsole break up the monochrome pink look. That wedge heel doesn’t just mean business, it means comfort too, with the heel Air unit also featuring a matching shade of pink inside the bubble.
