Sure, Michael Jordan might be the greatest basketball player to ever step on a court with the greatest sneaker line ever stitched, but his running mate, Scotty Pippen, had his fair share of success in both realms. Of course, we all know about Scotty’s prolific play, but his sneaker work gets less recognition. Pippen made the Nike Air Max Uptempo 95 his own during the Bulls’ championship run, and for the first retro colorway of the year, Nike is bringing back a tribute to Scotty with a red, black, and white Bulls colorway of the classic hoops shoe.
The Nike Air Max Uptempo 95 Bulls is a replica of the OG Bulls away jersey from the shoe’s original 1995 run, though the colorway of the shoe was first released in 2019. Starting with thick black nubuck paneling on the toe and lower half of the side panels, red leather covers the rest of the upper before returning to black on the dinosaur teeth lace panel and tongue. White laces with red lace loops complete things, with more red added to the midsole.
Swoosh branding on the lateral heel, lateral midsole, and the AIR branding on the lace panel are all done in white to match the laces. If you’ve got a throwback Pippen jersey that’s been collecting dust in the closet, this pair is the perfect match for your next mid-'90s-inspired outfit.
The Nike Air Max Uptempo 95 Bulls will be released March 13, 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170. For all the latest Nike retro news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
