13-Year-Old Raegan Scheid’s Doernbecher Nike Air Max DN8 Celebrates Softball and the Beach

Nike’s 21st annual fundraiser for the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Doernbecher Children’s Hospital continues with a bright, active, and inspirational pair of Nike Air Max DN8 designed by 13-year-old Raegan Scheid. Bringing together Scheid’s love for softball, the beach, and staying active no matter what, the pair is a pink and blue blend with plenty of personal easter eggs hidden throughout.

The Doernbecher x Nike Air Max DN8 Raegan Scheid kicks it off with steel grey on the toe, lace panel, and side panel vents, with pink covering the rest of the upper. It comes complete with a subtle all-over print sports motif featuring softballs, softball diamonds, gloves, bats, and more. Extra bright color is added with yellow on the heel supports, lace loops, and the heart and cross tongue logo.

Personalized features continue onto the midsole, with softball graphics added to the Nike Air bubbles underfoot, wavey blue graphics on the midsole, a custom heel logo, and custom lace tips. The insoles are also designed by Raegan, with a sunset spanning both insoles and her motto “I CAN DO HARD THINGS” on the right insole. After going through open-heart surgery at such a young age, if you ask us, Raegan’s motto is simply a statement of fact.

The Doernbecher x Nike Air Max DN8 Raegan Scheid will be released Spring 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
