Nike’s Air Max Month is set to get off to a spectacular start. Last year’s celebration focused on the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95 and reintroduced the Big Bubble to the model, which has since become a staple of the model. 2026 looks to keep the party going by celebrating the original Neon colorway of the Air Max 95.
Not only will Air Max Day mark the return of the Air Max 95 Neon in full-family sizing, but a slew of other Air Max models will also get the grey and green treatment. That select group includes the Air Max 90 and Air Max TL 2.5. In addition to those, the Nike Air Max Plus that originally debuted in 1998 is joining the celebration.
The Nike Air Max Plus Neon does its best Air Max 95 impression, gradually moving from a dark grey at the toe to light grey at the heel to mimic the iconic grey stripes of the Air Max 95. The TPU cage—the silhouette’s own series of stripes—takes on a white hue that seamlessly blends in with the look without disrupting it.
A darker shade of grey wraps around the toe cap, mudguard, and heel counter, melding perfectly with the black midsole. The hits of neon on the tongue, swoosh, midsole, and visible Air units tie together the celebratory colorway.
Joining the Nike Air Max Neon collection is a retro-themed and neon-heavy apparel capsule featuring tracksuits, jerseys, and a skeletal Air Max 95 shirt that lays bare the silhouette’s anatomical origins.
