New York City-based artist Andrea Bergart operates at the intersection of youth, sports, and fun. Now, that might seem like a likely place to be, but considering the current state of youth sports programs, travel ball, and the hyper-focused training regimens of pre-teens, it’s always nice to have a reminder that sports are supposed to be fun.
After transforming basketballs and soccer balls into handbags for the likes of Spike Lee and the Knicks and designing basketball courts, hoops, and ball racks like whimsical flowers, Bergart’s latest work turns to footwear. Teaming up with Nike, Bergart keeps her youth focus with a grade school-exclusive Dunk Low, combining her hand-drawn hooper and flower motifs with black leather.
The Andrea Bergart x Nike Dunk Low (GS) features a classic Dunk blocking, with black leather on the toe, lace, heel panel, and Swoosh. On the toebox, side panels, and heel counter, a soft blue fabric serves as backing for Bergart’s art, with abstract characters dribbling and laying up basketballs between flowers. The outsole adds more multi-color swirls, and a string of black metal charms runs across the lateral side for a bit of extra whimsy.
The Andrea Bergart x Nike Dunk Low (GS) will be released Fall 2026, through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in grade school sizes, the retail price is set at $102. For all the latest Nike artist collab news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
