The energy around Nike Basketball may not be at an all-time high (I think that’d be reserved for the early 2010s), but we’re approaching levels not seen in years. A key factor is a renewed design language, exemplified by Ja Morant’s new Nike Ja 3. While it just officially had its retail debut with the limited launch of the NYvsNY colorway, the last few weeks have seen early and official imagery of a slew of colorways hit the net. Included in this is a Memphis Grizzlies-friendly color scheme.
The pair pictured here was actually first seen the other day when Ja himself took to Instagram to “leak” ten different colorways of the Ja 3. These more detailed images give us a clearer look at the pair, with the engineered mesh base coming primarily in turbo green. Raised TPU reinforcements, all made of mini “Ja” logos, form a scratch pattern on the sneaker, done in black hues on most of the upper and in turbo green where the “A” forms Ja’s name on the midfoot. Forming the “J” in his first name is the Nike Swoosh, seen here in a university red finish outlined in white.
