As Nike continues to bring PE pairs of the Kobe 5 to the WNBA court and Mamba-scaled Air Force 1s for the lifestyle market, the latest numbered pairs for hoopers are bringing back the Kobe 10 Protro.
Blacking Out
The Nike Kobe 10 Protro Blackout is another OG Nike Kobe 10 colorway slated for return next year, joining the Protro silhouette’s 5 AM Flight debut. Just like the high-dive-themed 5 AM Flight pair, the Blackout colorway takes inspiration from Kobe’s legendary work ethic and an old quote about how he would work until he blacked out.
The purple colorway features a Violet shade across the entire mesh upper, with black accents on the Swoosh, tongue, laces, sockliner, and heel panel. The Kobe signature at the top of the tongue returns to purple, with a transparent purple shade on the midsole.
