We’re still in the first half of the year, but so far, Nike has been showing out for its CHBL high school basketball program in China. One of Nike’s biggest global basketball initiatives, the recent run of CHBL PE shoes has brought out some of the best GT Future and GT Cut 4 colorways so far, and on the latest pair, CHBL is channeling one of China’s favorite NBA stars, Kobe.
The Nike Kobe 3 Protro CHBL PE is a study in cold colors, adding a shade of Igloo that perfectly splits the difference between blue and green across most of the upper. After starting with a snow-driven white toebox and heel, the Igloo color is added to both sides of the basketball-net-shaped structural side panels. Finally, hits of gold pop from the lace dubrae, Swoosh on the heel, and Kobe sheath logo on the tongue.
CHBL PEs Bring the Heat
After giving the CHBL PE pairs of the Nike Kobe 4 Protro and Book 1 last year, Nike has upped the hype for the Chinese High School Basketball League even more in 2026, bringing out the aforementioned galaxy collection of GT Future and GT Cut 4 colorways, and a bright Sabrina 3, all debuting before this new Kobe 3 Protro.
Thankfully, the Nike Kobe 3 Protro CHBL PE is getting a stateside drop and will be released Summer 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online.
