This year marks the return of Kobe Bryant’s third signature sneaker with Nike, the Kobe 3. Helping revive the sneaker in Protro form is the Halo colorway, which joins a list of Nike Kobe models clad in triple white makeups as an homage to Kobe’s legacy, like the Kobe 8 and Kobe 9. However, that’s not the only Kobe 3 hitting shelves this year, as an all-new Christmas-themed color scheme has just emerged.
A gradient icy blue to white color scheme is applied to the engineered mesh and TPU upper. Starting at the toe, you’ll find an icy blue hue that comes with a frostbitten finish, making the pair appear to have been sitting out in the cold for too long. Moving back, the TPU grid pattern reinforcing the mesh base slowly transitions from blue to a clear white as you move up toward the back. Solid hits of icy blue are placed on the lace set and tongue, while the Kobe sheath logo on top of the tongue is rendered in iridescent chrome.
White leather wraps around the collar and heel, which features a light ice blue graphic print that continues the winter theme. Final details on the upper include the royal pulse tongue lining and a large chrome Swoosh on the heel. Down below, the Kobe 3 Protro now features an updated traction pattern for better grip and upgraded cushioning, adding Cushlon 3.0 foam and a full-length Zoom Air Strobel unit. Here, the model’s sole unit is done in a clear icy blue hue.
The Nike Kobe 3 Protro Christmas will be released Holiday 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
