When Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design and Nike showed off pairs of the Nike Mind 001 and 002, plus a new colorway of the latest Air Max, the poison dart frog-inspired Air Liquid Max, it marked the third and fourth collab project of the early year, kicking off the fragment Concept Testing collection. The prolific partnership features the first collab on the Nike Mind series, crafted in Hiroshi’s vision of the perfect summer shoe.
Keeping the foam columns of the stacked midsole, Hiroshi traded the rest of the upper for a one-piece Flyknit design with exposed stitching surrounding the attached tongue, perforations at the back, and a reinforced toe. A new lacing system finishes a covered toggle system at the top, and classic fragment blue is added to the set of 22 individual nodes set into the footbed.

“I approached the Nike Mind 002 from an experimental perspective — wondering what would happen if we combined it with completely different materials, swapping the existing upper to something else,” says Hiroshi. “The result is almost an entirely different product. It’s a sneaker I’d want to wear in the summer.”
The fragment design x Nike Mind 002 Flyknit Black will be released March 14, 2026 through fragment retail channels. A Nike SNKRS and global retail release will take place on March 19. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $140. For all the latest Nike Mind news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
