Nike’s Annual NY vs. NY Streetball Tournament Gets Another Air Force 1 PE

The NBA season is over, and the ticker tape has been swept up from the streets of Manhattan, but in NYC, basketball season is never over. With the summer heat comes endless streetball runs and tournaments in every borough and neighborhood. In addition to the major runs at Dykman and the cage at West 4th, Nike’s NY vs. NY tournament is one of the highlights of the summer, bringing the best high school hoopers from the city out to crown a local champ.

PE Uptowns for the Kings of NYC

Keeping up Nike’s long-running tradition of hooking up NY vs. NY hoopers with PE pairs, this year’s run brings another Air Force 1 to the mix. The Nike Air Force 1 '07 NY vs NY is a tribute to NYC streetball in sneaker form, adding a ticker of legendary courts running around the bottom of the upper from toe to heel and back again.

Above the court shoutouts, the pair features white leather across the upper with a white ripstop Swoosh on top of a layer of neon green. More neon green is added to the sockliner and outsole, with a two-tone reflective pair of laces to round it all out. Just like past PE pairs, the NY vs. NY logo is stacked up on the lateral heel.
