The spooky season is where we see some of the most creative kicks come from footwear brands across the industry. This rings especially true for Nike, which takes creative liberties that can, sometimes, toe the line between homage and potential copyright infringement. Just look at what happened in the 2000s with the Freddy Kruger-inspired Nike SB Dunk Low, which was recalled shortly before its intended release, helping cement its status as a grail sneaker. For Halloween 2026, Nike has been in its Air Force 1 bag, releasing a Scream-inspired pack of colorways, but the horror movie callouts won’t stop there. Next up for Nike’s Halloween collection is a pair of Hellraiser-inspired AF1 ‘01s.
Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘01 Hellraiser Details
If you’re unfamiliar, Hellraiser is a 1987 horror film in which the main character, Frank, accidentally unleashes extradimensional beings called Cenobites, resulting in his death. There’s plenty more to explore, but the film gets pretty dark and features some disturbing themes. For our sake, let’s cover what Nike is making reference to here on the AF1, Pinhead. The Hell Priest is the leader of the Cenobites in the movie, and his grid of pins inspires this dark colorway of the Bruce Kilgore-designed sneaker.
Like Pinhead, there’s a series of pins placed in a grid formation across the ‘01 version of the Uptown, with a black color palette applied to the model. Red trims the leather, and some of this shade is visible thanks to the grid pattern across the leather. More red is found on the mini Swoosh on the vamp, the Nike Air text on the tongue and heel tab, the lining of the tongue, and the sockliner. Below sits a black-on-black rubber midsole and outsole.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘01 Hellraiser will be released October 23, 2026 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
