Nike is galloping into the summer in style. If you’ve been in the sneaker game for at least 15 years, you probably remember the Air Force 1 Low Savage Beast from 2009, and as Nike continues to push back into a 2000s hype cycle that values Foamposites, patent leather, and Forces, The Swoosh is revisiting the wild animal aesthetic with a rehashed version of the hairy orange pair with a bit of a softer side.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Technicolor Tale Orange Pony Hair popped up on our feeds earlier this week when Nike designer Frank Cooke posted an in-hand preview of the pair to Instagram. Now, the brand is ready to roll out an official first look at the soft pony hair colorway, detailing Nike’s inspiration from the idiom “a horse of a different color” and the 2009 pair.

Featuring shaggy pony hair across all of the upper paneling, the laces stay orange to match the outsole, but the midsole switches to white for a jolt of contrast. On the 2009 Savage Beast pair, the midsole is covered in hair, too, but the new pair shaves the cut up a little higher.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Technicolor Tale Orange Pony Hair will be released Fall 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $140. To stay up on all the latest Nike Air Force 1 news and release details, download the Sole Retriever App.
