Although the Los Angeles Lakers are not the cream of the crop in the NBA, especially since losing LeBron James to the 76ers, fans can rest easy knowing they are still in second place for all-time championships with 17 different seasons hoisting the Larry O’Brien (or whatever it was called before 1977). Five of these championship seasons came during the Kobe Bryant era, and to commemorate the late-great NBA legend, Nike is dropping a kids-exclusive Air Force 1 Low featuring callouts to the hardware collected by the Black Mamba.
Nike Kobe Air Force 1 Low 5 Rings Details
Unlike most Kobe Air Force 1 makeovers, which often use a faux-snakeskin-textured upper, this pair opts for a black suede build. The stealthy shade is found on the toe, midfoot panel, heel, sockliner, and tongue, while pops of Lakers yellow are found on the Swoosh and heel tab. Both of these yellow hits are rendered in the aforementioned snakeskin look, while more nods to Bryant are found on the vamp and tongue tag, featuring the Kobe sheath logo in a celestine blue shade.
The metallic silver lace dubraes feature the phrase “Mamba Forever” split between the right and left shoes, respectively, but the insole is where the callouts to Bryant’s championship seasons appear. On the left insole sits a recreation of the five championship rings, denoting the years the Lakers took home the gold, while the right insole has a cartoon graphic of Bryant’s hand wearing the five rings. Nike has previously used this cartoon hand on Kobe Bryant apparel in the past, so it’s nice to see it make it to the footwear side of Kobe’s line. Finishing the sneaker is the marbled midsole and outsole, done in a mixture of black, celestine blue, and yellow.

The Nike Kobe Air Force 1 Low 5 Rings will be released October 1, 2026 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in GS sizing, the retail price hasn’t been announced.
