Nike has been going all in on the off-court silhouettes with NBA signature branding for the past year or so, adding Dunks and Air Force 1s to the LeBron, Ja, and Kobe lines at breakneck pace. For Kobe, though, the Air Force 1 crossovers are nothing new, and on the latest pair, Mamba fans finally get their shot at owning a 20-year-old PE colorway clad in denim.
The Nike Kobe Air Force 1 Protro Denim was first made in 2006 as a PE pair for the Mamba himself. Covered in two tones of denim, the Canadian tuxedo colorway features dark raw denim on the toe, lace, and heel panel as well as the side panel Swoosh, while the toebox and side panels add a lighter denim shade that looks like the reverse side of a pair of jeans.
Orange stitching around all of the denim panels matches the orange Kobe sheath logo at the lateral heel, the Nike Air logo on the heel, more orange stitching on the white midsole, and finally, the bright orange outsole. Lastly, white laces are added to bring it all together. Of course, with the pair being a "Protro," you can expect a drop-in ReactX insole for added comfort.
The Nike Kobe Air Force 1 Protro Denim will be released May 22, 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $150. For all the latest Nike Kobe news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
