While the early parts of the new year are slow for the sneaker industry, the holidays hitting us as we enter 2025 help expand the releases we can look forward to. Following the array of the Year of the Snake products, footwear gets hit by Cupid’s arrow as Valentine’s Day quickly follows up the Chinese New Year celebrations. Joining the various Nike sneakers-themed after love is the Air Max 90.
Unlike other Valentine’s Day-ready sneakers from Nike, like the Air Max 1, Cortez, and AF1, this pair lacks any direct heart branding details. However, the connection to this holiday of love is apparent through dark red and pink on select upper portions. These two hues land on the TPU eyelets, swapping between dark team red and pink, and on the heel tab, which comes coated in a solid pink hue.
