Nike Basketball is shining lately. In addition to bringing back the patent leather pop from the early 2000s, Nike Basketball’s futuristic retro push with silhouettes like the GT Future and GT Cut 4 has come with a heavy amount of metallic and iridescent color combos. On the latest pair of GT Cut 4 PEs, The Swoosh is keeping the theme up with an Ivan Ooze-worthy pair in purple metallic.
The Nike GT Cut 4 EYBL ditches the silhouette’s typical two-tone split on the asymmetric paneling in favor of a full coat of metallic Bright Violet purple that shines like a gemstone, reflecting light and changing shades depending on the angle. The sockliner and outsole switch to a light shade of purple, while the laces add a third tone in dark mauve.

Nike EYBL (Elite Youth Basketball League) is The Swoosh’s biggest youth basketball tournament circuit, bringing together some of the best high school hoops talent from across the country. Just like the CHBL hoopers in China, EYBL players are often blessed with PE colorways to wear during showcase games. Unlike many EYBL PEs, though, this pair is getting a public release.
The Nike GT Cut 4 EYBL will be released May 8, 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $210. For all the latest Nike EYBL PE sneaker news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
