Victor Wembanyama is making a real push at the MVP race. The resident alien in San Antonio is already a shoo-in for the Defensive Player of the Year trophy, but with the Spurs making a real run at OKC’s top seed in the Western Conference, Wemby is making a serious argument for the most valuable title. At Nike, Wembanyama is already the most important NBA athlete without a signature shoe, adding new PE colorways throughout the season to keep the extra-terrestrial hype high.
For his latest exclusive, Nike skipped the space theme for a bit of earth-bound aggression, adding a coat of golden panther fur print to the GT Cut 4 that transitions to a black-on-black combo on the medial side. A VW hit is added in clawing red print on the heel for some Wemby co-branding.
We’ve only seen a few leaked early photos of the upcoming pair, but after a long run of GT Hustle 3 colorways, the GT Cut 4 has become Wemby’s silhouette of choice on new PEs since the futuristic low-top debuted late last year, and this might be the best yet. That said, we’re still waiting on news of a Wemby signature shoe…it’s only a matter of time, right?
The Victor Wembanyama x Nike GT Cut 4 Gold Panther will be released May 20, 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in adult and grade school sizing, the retail prices are set at $210 and $142, respectively. For all the latest Wemby Nike PE news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
