When Devin Booker was growing up, he always wanted a dog. Unfortunately, his brother was allergic, so the family never caved to Book’s wishes. Once he made the NBA, well, his brother moved in with him, so a dog was still off the table. As soon as his brother moved out, though? According to a canine-focused interview in Vogue from last year, “The second he moved out, I brought Haven in.”
As Booker continues to roll out new colorways of his second signature shoe, he’s once again dedicating a colorway to his cane corso Haven, and this time around, the newly added third member of the Booker household, Haven’s son, Hector. Like both dogs, the colorway is black with short fuzzy hair. The Swooshes go goldish brown like the dogs’ eyes, and the outsole adds a hit of icy blue.
On either shoe, “H” logos in Olde English font are added to represent Haven and Hector’s names, one in lowercase and the other in uppercase. Last year’s Book 1 Haven pair featured the same capital “H” on the backside of the tongue, so we’re guessing the lowercase addition is for Hector the puppy.
