Kevin Durant is a mama’s boy and for good reason. Raising KD as a single mother in PG County, Maryland, Wanda Durant fought hard to help the Slim Reaper turn into one of the greatest basketball players the world has ever seen, and in Durant’s 2014 MVP speech, he made it known, calling out Wanda as “the real MVP.” Durant has always shown out for his mom, especially in his signature Nike line.
The latest Wanda colorway is a KD 18 in a colorway inspired by her favorite shades, mint green and gold. The KD 18 Wanda starts with khaki suede on the toe panel that weaves in and out of seafoam green mesh on the toebox and side panels. The TPU and rubber midfoot overlay is done in mint green leather with an outline in an even paler shade of green. The midsole is cream, and the outsole is a gum brown, with Wanda printed in a repeating pattern all over the sock liner.
KD’s Nike line has always been a family affair, most notably in the recurring Aunt Pearl line of pink colorways that raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. KD has also honored his mom in Wanda, most notably in colorways of the KD 16, KD 9 Elite, and KD 4. Not to be left out, KD has also dropped purple shoes for his grandma, Barbara A. Davis, including a recent KD 18.
The Nike KD 18 Wanda will be released November 1, 2025 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $155. For all the latest Nike KD news and release info, download the Sole Retriever mobile app today.
