Over the last year, Nike has played into the mesh runners trend by offering us various Zoom Vomero 5 options. Even with plans for a new budget-friendly mesh runner called the V5 RNR, which comes in at nearly half the cost of the Vomero 5 at just $90, we’ll have no shortage of Vomeros in the new year. A new Celtics-themed rendition is included in Nike’s Spring 2025 offerings for the model.
Traditional Vomero 5 construction is present on this pair, with the white base taking on a wide-spaced mesh finish. White leather paneling graces the toebox, mudguard, vamp, heel, and midfoot overlays, while dark black hues hit the Swoosh, top of the tongue, and sockliner. In a not-so-subtle homage to the Boston Celtics, we see the team’s green hue on the midfoot TPU cage and the bottom half of the Nike Vomero 5-branded woven tongue label.
This design completes the upper’s colorful accents, as white hues appear on the mesh tongue, the lace set, the collar, and the TPU heel counter. However, moving down to the midsole, we see a mixture of grey, cream, and green covering the Zoom Air and Cushlon-cushioned foam. Finishing the sneaker is the black and green rubber outsole.
The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Celtics W will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the pair will retail for $160.
