Each year, Nike uses Air Max Day in March to celebrate its longstanding Air Max family and chart its future direction. Alongside the restocks of classic colorways and remixes on familiar models, the event also plays host to the debut of new models that implement the Air technology in novel ways, like its latest silhouette in the line, the Nike Air Liquid Max. The new silhouette was initially debuted by rapper Yeat in a video with EsDeeKid, with fragment design creator Hiroshi Fujiwara revealing a collaborative pair on Instagram overnight.

The original colorway released held an amphibious aesthetic similar to a poison dart frog, splashing shades of green across its upper, which uses a textured microprint construction to achieve its unique appearance. Following up that original colorway, fragment’s collab, and an inline blacked-out colorway is the Nike Liquid Max Bred, which gets Jordan-esque and even more aposematic-feeling with its bold coloration.
Using that multi-layered construction, the Nike Liquid Max Bred implements multiple shades of red across the upper to contrast the black spots. A hint of gold accents the silhouette, adding a shine to the large Swoosh on the lateral side, the mini Swoosh on the medial, and the “Liquid Max” branding on the tongue.
Underfoot, the silhouette uses a new technology called point-loaded Air that focuses Air units on specific zones of the foot to achieve an enhanced form of comfort similar to the Nike Mind series. This intentionality allows the footbed to move and contour as much as the foot needs without compromising comfort.
The Nike Air Liquid Max Bred will be released Summer 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $230. For all the latest Nike Air Max news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
