Nike’s archives are endless. Over more than half a century of sneaker making, The Swoosh has canned more silhouettes than most brands have released, with decades of past models now shelved and forgotten to the sands of time. Sometimes, though, those long-lost shoes serve as the perfect inspiration for a retro revival, and it just takes the right collaborator to revive them.
The COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS x Nike Air Max Dolce Black brings back the sleek, laceless 2002 silhouette in a mix of black leather and shiny black patent leather with CDG co-branding on the tongue and insoles. In addition to the triple-black colorway, we’ve seen previews of the retro collab in triple-white and a black and white split.

Featuring black patent leather up the toebox and lace-free tongue panel and the heel, the rest of the upper is done in soft black leather. Besides the flat, no lace look, the defining characteristic of the Air Max Dolce is the tire-tread style side panels, which are also kept black on the CDG pair.
The COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS x Nike Air Max Dolce will be released Summer 2026 through CDG stockists in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $400. For all the latest Nike CDG collab news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
