Baseball season is in full swing. Get it? Alright, sorry about that, we’re just excited about the idea of a summer spent in the upper deck. Before the heat settles in, though, the early MLB season is marked by an annual celebration of the man who changed the game forever, Jackie Robinson. As we get set for this season’s Jackie Robinson Day festivities, with every player in the league rocking a number 42 jersey on the field, Nike is helping players match their uniforms with a new pair of spikes.
The Nike Diamond Standout Jackie Robinson Day is The Swoosh’s latest addition to its ongoing Jackie Robinson collection, joining a V5 RNR colorway that will also drop for this year’s celebration. Unlike the RNR, though, this pair is only meant for the diamond and will likely show up between the foul lines on Nike-sponsored players next Wednesday.
The Dodgers have it too good these days, so Nike stayed away from blue and white on the colorway, instead adding the same subtle black and white blend that’s featured on the V5 RNR. The premium black leather upper features a white leather Swoosh and a baseball glove-style lacing pattern. A 42 is added on the fold-over tongue to bring some clear Jackie energy.
The Nike Diamond Standout Jackie Robinson Day will be released on Jackie Robinson Day, April 15, 2026, through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $150. For all the latest Nike baseball news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
