Jordan Release Calendar

Concept shoes, like concept cars, are often seen in renderings or mock-ups with an air of impossibility, adding shapes and technology that look so far removed from the status quo that seem too good to be true. At some point, though, the future catches up to the present, and new design language takes over from the past, blending the runway and the playing field for a new look altogether.
The Nike First Sight is Nike’s latest advancement in women’s sneakers, and the Noir Black debut colorway is a look at the present’s fashion-forward push. Starting with a clean one-piece upper in all black, the shoe features a large Swoosh pulling across the lateral side panel onto the toebox, with a carbon fiber-style tongue and a sleek lace panel. Like the Shox before it, the shoe draws the eye with its sloping shape, imitating a kitten heel style with a raised heel and a gap in the angled midsole. The chunky heel splits in two at the back for a unique aesthetic twist.

We haven’t heard much about the design inspiration or technical specs of the Nike First Sight, but like the Nike GT Future from the brand’s basketball line, the shoe is a clear example of Beaverton’s constant push to both look to the past and also shape the future of athletic footwear, no matter what direction the path curves.
The Nike First Sight Noir Black will be released Spring 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125. For all the latest news on Nike’s upcoming debuts and drops, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
