The Nike Moon Shoe arrived right on time. The 1971 silhouette never saw a retail release when it was first developed 55 years ago by Blue Ribbon Sports, before the brand changed its name to Nike. After inspiring the waffle sole revolution, the Moon Shoe is finally getting a full release just as the U.S. returns from its latest actual trip to the moon.
The Nike Moon Shoe OG Soft Yellow first popped up in the editorial shoot reintroducing the shoe to the Nike in-line catalog, and now, with a drop on the horizon, we’ve got a clear look at the pale yellow pair. While we wait through the April showers, the yellow pair is popping up with the flowers for May.

Featuring an upper covered in pale yellow leather, a darker yellow shade is added on the semi-circles at the side of the toe and heel. The Swoosh and laces switch things up in white, and the outsole is black to match the Nike script on the tongue tag.
