Nike and Jordan Brand have had a great run with Travis Scott over the last 9 years. He’s dropped an array of retro Air Jordans, remixed classic Nike silhouettes, and even has his own signature model at both Nike Sportswear and Jordan. Throughout the partnership, things have mainly stayed in the realm of lifestyle, and rightfully so, as La Flame is no professional athlete. We have seen him dig into the performance side with his own colorway of the Air Jordan 33, but now he’s heading to the tennis court with his take on the Zoom Vapor 12 HC.
First reported by Kicks Finder, the Travis Scott Zoom Vapor 12 retains the performance details of the tennis sneaker but adds Scott’s signature color palette and reverse Swoosh to the mix. An early photo showcases the sneaker in a creamy sail color palette mixed with chocolate brown hits on the Swoosh, laces, and collar. The color code also has university red, though that’s not visible in the one picture we have thus far. Underfoot, the sneaker features a Zoom Air unit in the heel.
Now, while this is Scott’s first performance tennis shoe, he has dabbled in the world of tennis in the past. Travis, alongside celebrities like LeBron James, helped fuel demand for a retro of the Nike Mac Attack, the signature sneaker of retired tennis legend John McEnroe, in the early 2020s. Shortly after Nike brought back the model, La Flame had his own reverse Swoosh version of the sneaker that dropped at retail. He even enlisted McEnroe to help promote the release.
