Some of the people over at Sole Retriever have discussed the flat-soled ribbon-lace footwear trend you see everywhere online. In our experience, it’s not a common sight to see in person, but labels have been making a big push to offer the ladies these ballet-inspired sneakers. Just look at Nike, who have turned the kitten-heeled Shox Z silhouette into a ballet slip-on via the Shox Z Calistra model. Following a debut via women’s retailer Naked Copenhagen, Chinese brand LABELHOOD is now getting its own colorway on the model.
Black patent leather coats the majority of the silhouette, and of course, as this is a ballet-inspired model, the top is fully exposed, revealing a red leather interior. An embossed square pattern is applied to the midfoot and toe, while the heel features faux perforations.

More red accents appear on the mini Swoosh near the lateral heel and on the front lace set. In addition to the one set of red laces near the front of the foot, there's a black patent leather buckle strap. Finishing the design is the red used in the midsole, two black Shox pillars in the heel, and a black and red outsole.
The LABELHOOD x Nike Shox Z Calistra will be released April 14, 2026 via LABELHOOD, Nike, and select retailers. Unfortunately for us in the States, the pair appears to be exclusive to overseas regions, as LABELHOOD posted a drop list that does not include the United States. Check below for an official look at the pair, and download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest happenings in the sneaker and streetwear world.
