Altra, a leader in performance running footwear, is set to debut its first collaboration with ROA, the renowned Italian brand specializing in outdoor footwear. This partnership merges Altra's focus on natural movement with ROA's emphasis on functionality and avant-garde materials. The result is a groundbreaking iteration of Altra’s Timp 5 silhouette, designed for the ultimate trail adventure. The collaboration comes at a time when both brands push the boundaries of design and performance, making this release highly anticipated in the outdoor and fashion communities.
The ROA x Altra Timp 5 features a deep brown Gore-Tex upper membrane, marking ROA's inaugural use of this advanced material. This sophisticated hue is inspired by the earthy tones of soil, reflecting the collaborative effort to incorporate nature-inspired elements into the design. The shoe retains Altra's iconic FootShape design with a roomy toe box and zero-drop platform, ensuring comfort and natural movement.
Additionally, ROA’s influence is evident in the midsole design, which encapsulates the upper in a classic ROA manner, merging aesthetic appeal with practical performance. The Gore-Tex Invisible Fit Liner provides waterproof protection while maintaining breathability, and the Vibram Megagrip outsole ensures superior traction on wet and dry surfaces. The Altra EGO™ MAX midsole foam compound delivers exceptional comfort and durability, making this shoe ideal for the most challenging trails.
The ROA x Altra Timp 5 will release in Fall/Winter 2024 through ROA, Altra, and select retailers online and in-store. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
