If you thought the world’s Pokémon obsession peaked at the Red vs. Blue Nintendo Gameboy debate or when grown adults started wandering into traffic while staring at their phones playing Pokémon Go, you haven’t seen anything yet. These days, the trading card market has turned Pokémon cards into a mix of stock options and sacred statues, creating millionaires with cardboard collectibles. The sneaker industry has also added fuel to the Pokémon fire, with brands like Puma and adidas joining the fold with character-specific colorways. After dropping an ultra-limited Mewtwo Suede, Puma is back with another shoe for one of the original 151.
The Pokémon x Puma All-Pro Nitro 2 Pikachu is the latest collab between Pokémon and the Big Cat, this time taking the brand’s most popular in-line basketball silhouette and giving it a shock of main character energy. Covered in a yellow base with hits of black peaking through like Pikachu’s fur, the suede lace protection panels are done in red like Pikachu’s rosy cheeks.
Adding more Pika vibes to the colorway, the Puma stripe logo flashing across the toe features a white backing and a jolt of white lightning in the middle. More Pikachu energy is added to the insoles and back of the tongue, with Pikachu’s screaming face looking back under the tongue.
The Pokémon x Puma All-Pro Nitro 2 Pikachu will be released April 1, 2026 through Puma and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $140. For all the latest Pokémon sneaker collab news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
