LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets are one of the Cinderella stories of the 2025-2026 season. After a tepid start, the team saw improvement due to the breakout of young stars Kon Knueppel and Brandon Miller. The biggest catalyst of the team’s improvement has been the continued health of superstar point guard LaMelo Ball, whose freewheeling playstyle creates a sense of controlled chaos on the court.
The former Rookie of the Year brings that same energetic style to his Puma signature line, which is now 5 models deep. Joining those five models is a new hybrid model that combines All-Star’s first four sneakers, called the Puma MB.01234.
The sneaker opts for the MB.01 heel with M.E.L.O branding and angular tooling. The breathable mesh upper bridges the MB.02’s flame panel on the lateral side with the clawed panel of the MB.03 and an embroidered toe inspired by the ankle collar of the first model. The MB.04 finds its way on the “1 of 1” tongue and the filigree on the heel and ankle collar.
This iteration of the mashup silhouette implements a pink mesh upper as seen at the heel with vivid green overlays. Pink details appear throughout the shoe, like the wavy graphics printed all over the upper, the filigree details on the toe and heel, and even the torn claw marks, which reveal the shade underneath.
The combination of the two hues calls to mind the celebrated Rick and Morty MB.01, which featured one green sneaker and one pink. Even the sneaker’s box takes the mashup theme to heart, with the packaging blending the box art for the four silhouettes on the top.
The Puma MB.01234 Green is set to release in Spring 2026 via Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the Puma MB.01234 will retail at $140. For all things, LaMelo Ball and Puma, download the Sole Retriever app.
