Jordan Release Calendar

Originally founded as a rubber company in 1966, the Van Doren Rubber Company (later known as Vans) began selling deck shoes directly to customers instead of wholesale to stores. These sneakers would later go on to be named Authentics. Over a decade of success in the skateboarding world would pass until the release of new models in the late 1970s: Old Skool, Era, Classic Slip-on, and Sk8-Hi. The company would later create a pro model sneaker for Steve Caballero in 1992 named the Half Cab, and since then, the brand has branched into countless new models featuring every material possible.
You'll find Vans looking cool leaning against a fence near the intersection of high fashion, streetwear, skateboarding, and pop culture. What was once a signifier of skate culture has been adopted by musicians, artists, teachers, politicians, and everyone in between. Whether presented in canvas, suede, or leather, Vans are some of the most recognizable sneakers of all time and seem to be reinvented by pop culture every 5 to 10 years.
All Vans models run true-to-size. We recommend going with your standard shoe size. If you're over the age of 35, consider a custom insole for added comfort in the no-frills classics.
Vans sneakers are available on the brand's website and stores. Most local skateboarding shops carry the sneakers as well as larger retailers like Hibbett and Journeys. For rarer sneakers, we recommend boutiques like Jaide, Wish ATL, and Concepts.

There's an endless supply of Vans collaborations. The most frequent and noteworthy collaborator over the years is Supreme, releasing a few pairs every year. Luxury brands like Raf Simons, Mastermind Japan, and Marc Jacobs have elevated the sneakers with high end renditions. Streetwear powerhouses Satoshi Nakamoto, Gallery Department, Awake NY, and Bape bridged the gap between street and skate, creating sneakers that would expand the brand into new light. The list goes on but at its core, Vans are the ultimate canvas for collaboration.

In a sneaker industry that's been struggling to find its footing, Vans has carved a lane that no one saw coming.
