Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably noticed the recent explosion of soccer vibes taking over every facet of life ahead of the World Cup. Of course, if you haven’t noticed, Nike would be happy to remind you. In addition to plenty of product collections, Nike just tapped all of its biggest names in soccer, along with the brand’s most popular celeb spokespeople, for a new campaign and short film encouraging players and fans to rip the script.

Celeb Script Rippers

The Nike Rip the Script campaign first popped up in star-studded previews earlier this week, but now, Nike is ready to push the spot to the next level, releasing the entire short film in all its chaotic glory. In addition to soccer legends Kylian Mbappé, Vini Jr., Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Didier Drogba, and more, the Rip the Script ad also features LeBron James, Travis Scott, Kim Kardashian, Ted Lasso, Kate Scott, Channing Tatum, Young Miko, and LISA for the kind of guest list usually reserved for awards shows.

“We were intentional in choosing every cast member in the film, and we had fun and leaned into the playfulness of their roles,” says Enrico Balleri, VP, Creative Director, Global Brand Voice. “We knew Kim, for example, takes Saint to play football, so we created a whole ‘soccer mom’ persona for her, and in later extensions of the film, we’ll build and deepen that storyline. A cast that reflected an authenticity and a real connection to football was crucial to us.”

Plenty of Kicks for World Cup Season

The Nike Football Rip the Script campaign contains plenty of product shots, easter eggs, and endless soccer energy that will continue to reveal itself through Nike’s World Cup collection and product drops over the next few weeks.
