Jordan Release Calendar

Originally released in 1997, the Air Jordan 13 was the final signature sneaker released during Michael Jordan's time with the Chicago Bulls. Inspired by Michael Jordan’s cat-like playing style, the infamous panther, aka “Black Cat” was the primary muse for this silhouette.
Designed after Michael Jordan's predator-like game, Tinker Hatfield modeled the sneakers after a panther. The leather upper is covered in dimples that lead up to a holographic pod on the ankle. This pod is meant to resemble a panther's eye and features a Jumpman logo, a basketball, and the number 23. The outsole is also meant to resemble the pads on the foot of a panther.
The Air Jordan 13 does not release often, however pairs do tend to release in waves. The sneakers are always released via Nike's SNKRS app and website but also tend to release at large stockists like Foot Locker, JD Sports, and DTLR. Smaller boutiques like Kith and A Ma Maniere may also stock the AJ13.
The Air Jordan 13 released in 7 colorways: Flint Blue, Black Toe, Playoff, True Red, and Bred in high top cut as well as two low cut pairs in Navy and Chutney. This extensive lineup reached from 1997 to 1998. A second wave of AJ13s released in 2004 and 2005 with a plethora of colorways, most notably in Wheat, Grey Toe, and Altitude as highs and UNC and Syracuse motifs as lows. Since 2013, the Air Jordan 13 has seen multitudes of color and material changes. Bin 23 pairs feature premium materials, while PE pairs from Ray Allen and Chris Paul round out some of the rarest pairs.
The Air Jordan 13 runs true-to-size. They feature a sock liner that molds to the foot to hold shape and keep feet snug and secure. The high cut locks in around ankles for support while the footbed is spacious.
The Air Jordan 13 restocks often. Nike's SNKRS app and website are primary sources while large retailers like Foot Locker and Shoe Palace may also have light restocks. Download the Sole Retriever app to receive any restock info on all of your favorite AJ 13s.
The Air Jordan 13 has only been collaborated on twice. In 2022, Miami sneaker store SoleFly released a pale blue and cream pair inspired by Michael Jordan's yacht and love for fishing. Streetwear brand Clot designed two low top pairs of 13s, one in a black and red colorway, and the other a clay-colored rendition inspired by China's terracotta warriors.
