As part of its 20th Anniversary celebration, UK-based retailer END. has unveiled a new collaboration with Japanese performance brand Mizuno, reimagining the beloved Wave Rider 10 in a coastal-inspired colorway. This release continues a series of commemorative drops from END., each paying tribute to the retailer’s North East England heritage through storytelling-led design.
Originally released in 2007, the Mizuno Wave Rider 10 was born from a commitment to technical running innovation. Lauded for its superior shock absorption and smooth transitions, the silhouette has become a modern classic, bridging performance and lifestyle. Now, END. lends its distinctive aesthetic to the Wave Rider 10, interpreting the shoe through the rugged beauty of the North Sea — a powerful symbol of the region's culture, people, and industrial history.
The collaboration sees the sneaker dressed in a moody Black Beauty and Estate Blue palette, evoking the brooding waters and skies that shape Britain's northeastern shoreline. Iridescent overlays reflect sunlight glinting off moving water, while a subtle gradient flows from forefoot to heel, mirroring the dynamic rhythm of ocean currents.
The breathable layered mesh upper adds texture, while a fluid panel structure captures the impression of swirling tides. Finishing touches include END. and Mizuno co-branding on the tongue and heel, anchored by the iconic RunBird logo to maintain the shoe’s high-performance DNA.
The END. x Mizuno Wave Rider 10 will release on May 23, 2025, exclusively through END. online and in-store at END. flagship locations in Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, London, and Milan.
