Who would have thought one of the hottest sneakers on the market is the Vans Old Skool? It’s been a staple silhouette for decades, but ever since the first Pearlized Pack colorways hit shelves in 2024, it has exploded in popularity. Vans followed suit with multiple bejeweled and gem-covered takes across its lineup, but people still clamor for the Pearlized Pack when new pairs drop. Now, following the release of the Rust Brown and Cocoa Brown colorways in April and a preview of what's to come at Paris Fashion Week, official photos of a new Red colorway have appeared.
Keeping the same formula unchanged that skyrocketed the Pearlized Pack into the stratosphere, this Red colorway features a mixture of canvas and suede that comes covered in different hardware. Starting on the toe, pearl and faux gems create a half-circle, with the same combo extending across the white canvas jazz stripe across the upper. The alternating pearl and gem design also finds a home atop the tongue and on the heel tab.

Contrasting the two-tones of red are creamy whites on the sockliner and laces, but throughout, distressed details add to the Pearlized aesthetic. There’s extra stitching and scuffed-up portions on the upper, while the vulcanized rubber sole unit looks as if it’s already been skated. Finishing the sneaker is the black rubber outsole below.
The Vans Old Skool 36 Pearlized Pack Red will be released before the end of 2026 through Vans and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
