The 1000.2 version of Nike’s 3D printed Air Max project appears to be picking up steam. After teaming up with Zellerfeld to add an Air bubble to a 3D-printed sneaker, the brands ramped up production with the Air Max 1000.2, keeping the same design structure but tuning the printing process to make more pairs faster and turn around new colorways with ease. Mission accomplished, as we now have a second drop of the black and red rendition.
The Nike Air Max 1000.2 Black Hyper Crimson is the latest Air Max 1000.2 to demonstrate the increased production speed. The black pair features a multi-textured one-piece upper with tonal checkerboards on the top, sleek black beneath it, and stretched 3D mesh texture on the bottom section of the upper.

On the Air bubble built into the heel, Nike adds a jolt of Hyper Crimson red to give it some color. So far, we’ve seen three pairs of the Air Max 1000.2; Triple Black, Black Pink Spell, and now, two drops of the Black Hyper Crimson. It probably helps the production process to keep the upper black, but with an easy switch on the Air bubbles, expect to see more colorways drop soon.
The Nike Air Max 1000.2 Black Hyper Crimson will be released Fall 2026 through Nike and Zellerfeld. Retail is set at $180. For all the latest on Nike’s 3D-printed sneakers, download the Sole Retriever App.
