Nike Rounds Out Year of the Horse Collection with Red Terry LD-1000

Nike is going the distance with its Lunar New Year collection to kick off 2026, bringing together a wide-ranging pack of lifestyle classics, performance hoops shoes, and a few seemingly random selections mixed in. To round off the cream, brown, and maroon holiday collection, Nike is switching things up, adding a full coat of red to the Year of the Horse-themed LD-1000.

The Nike LD-1000 year of the Horse keeps the colors and materials consistent with the rest of the pack, but switches the focus, draping the upper of the vintage long-distance runner in a mix of red suede on the toe, lace panel, and heel, plus red terry cloth covering the side panels. Nike’s Year of the Horse Pegasus embroidery graphics are added to the side panel Swooshes, instead of the heel, like they are on other shoes from the pack.

The detailed white Swooshes match the white sockliner, heel tab, tongue, laces, and midsole for a clean two-tone blend. The tongue label brings more Year of the Horse imagery, featuring the same multi-color desert scene featured on the rest of the series. Finally, a black outsole with an extended running shoe completes the look.
